Live Reptile Shows & Encounters
Join us every weekend for live reptile shows at Riverside Reptiles Education Center in Enfield, Connecticut! From giant tortoise feedings to snake encounters, crocodilian introductions, and lizard meet-and-greets, our live animal shows are a favorite family activity near Hartford. These engaging, hands-on programs let kids and adults see reptiles up close while learning directly from our expert staff.
🗓 Weekend Live Show Schedule
Saturdays & Sundays (included with admission):
10:30 am – Tortoise Feeding
Watch our giant tortoises enjoy their morning meal while learning about their diet and conservation.
11:30 am – Meet a Snake
See one of our ambassador snakes up close and discover what makes these reptiles such amazing survivors.
1:00 pm – Meet a Crocodilian
Meet a dwarf caiman or American alligator and learn how these powerful predators thrive in the wild.
2:00 pm – Meet a Lizard
From geckos to tegus, explore the diversity of lizards and their unique adaptations.
Weekday Encounters
During weekdays, our staff may bring animals out for unscheduled encounters when possible. If you’d like to guarantee a hands-on experience, please call ahead to confirm staff availability.
